General information:
- The applicant must be present at the Embassy to sign the requested power of attorney after making an appointment.
- To make an appointment, please send an email to Consular@lebanonembassy.nl with the required documents mentioned below.
- Whenever our consular office receives all the above documents, we will prepare the power of attorney and contact you for an appointment (appointments are given on a first-come, first-served basis)
- People aged 80 years and above are requested to bring a medical certificate attesting to their intellectual capacity.
- It is possible to perform other notarial acts with our services (cancellation of mandate, withdrawal, notice, etc.). For those specific acts, get in contact our consular services by email at consular@lebanonembassy.
Required documents:
1- Identification document for the applicant and the recipient:
- Lebanese identity card, or failing that, the individual civil registry record بيان قيد افرادي , or a valid Lebanese passport (original + copy)
- Or for non-Lebanese Nationals, a valid ID or foreign passport (original + copy).
2- In addition, depending on the subject of a power of attorney:
- In the event of a power of attorney for the sale of real estate: the original deed of ownership of the real estate- or a property registration certificate must be presented. – افادة عقارية أو سند ملكية
- In the event of a power of attorney for a vehicle’s sale: a copy of the car registration record in Lebanon
- In the event of power of attorney for marriage or divorce: the spouse’s Lebanese or foreign identification document
- In the event of power of attorney signed on behalf of a company: A valid copy of the company’s statute or circular proving the identity of its legal representative.
- In the event of a power of attorney related to a bank account: relevant information concerning the bank’s name, address, and details of the appropriate account number
- In the case of establishing a power of attorney in the name of a third person: the original power of attorney legalized by the Lebanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, by which the third person mandates the applicant to establish legal acts in his name.
Consular fees:
- Special power of attorney: 44 €
- General power of attorney: 88 €
- Power of attorney on behalf of a company/ for commercial purposes: 198 €
